Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Information we collect

When you use Career Boost Labs, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, employment history, career goals, resume content, LinkedIn URL, and any other information you submit through our intake form or free tools. We collect payment information through Stripe (we never store your full card details). We also collect limited technical and usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type through privacy-respecting analytics. We only ask for what we need to deliver your Services.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide the Services you purchased — to build your resume, LinkedIn profile, Career Clarity Report, and related deliverables — to process payments, to send your deliverables and order updates, to respond to support requests, and to maintain the security and integrity of our Services. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your personal documents for advertising.

3. Automated processing & AI

To create your deliverables we process the information you submit using a combination of automated tools (including artificial intelligence) and human review. We use these tools only to produce your specific deliverables. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your personal documents to train publicly available, third-party AI models for unrelated purposes. No final decision about your purchase is made by automated means alone.

4. Data storage, security & retention

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security, and file uploads are kept in secure cloud storage. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information. We retain your intake data and deliverables for up to 12 months after your order to support Resume Studio edits and re-orders, after which we delete or anonymize it, and we will delete it sooner on request where we are not required to keep it.

5. Third-party services

We rely on the following service providers to operate Career Boost Labs: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (hosting and DNS), AI language-model providers used to generate drafts, Meta Platforms (advertising measurement, when we are running ads), and an IP-geolocation provider used to record the approximate city a visit came from. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function and under its own privacy terms. We share only the data each service requires, and we never send your resume, uploaded files, or deliverables to an advertising provider.

6. Communications

We send transactional messages related to your order (confirmations, deliverables, intake update requests and support replies, and saved-progress reminders). These are necessary to provide the Service. If we ever send non-essential updates, every such message includes an unsubscribe option, and opting out will not affect your order.

7. Your privacy rights (including California)

You may request access to a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@careerboostlabs.com. We respond within 45 days, and we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

California's privacy law, the CCPA/CPRA, sets its obligations by company size, and a business our size falls below every threshold it uses. We offer these rights anyway, to everyone, wherever you live: the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to limit how we use sensitive personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. When we are running advertising, we do share a limited amount of information with Meta for advertising measurement: an encrypted (hashed) form of your email address and the fact that a purchase or sign-up happened. In California's vocabulary that is "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, so we describe it plainly rather than deny it. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@careerboostlabs.com, or by blocking the Meta pixel as described in the Cookies section below. We never share your resume, your uploaded files, or your deliverables with any advertising provider. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to operate the site.

When we are running advertising, we also use the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel to measure which ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. It sets cookies in your browser (_fbp and _fbc) that Meta uses to attribute those actions to an ad, which is a form of cross-site advertising tracking. We never send Meta your resume, your uploaded files, or the contents of any deliverable. You can limit this through your Meta ad preferences, through your browser's cookie controls, or with any standard tracking blocker, and the site works normally with it blocked.

Our own analytics record page views and on-site actions so we can see which pages work. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy. See also our Terms of Service.
